Rebecca Donley: Caring for Survivors of Domestic Abuse
All chaplains will encounter careseekers who have been connected to the widespread reality of domestic abuse. We all know survivors of abuse, but how many of us have trauma-informed survivor- centered training to support careseekers? The numbers are staggering and they rose during COVID and continue to rise as women across the country are losing their rights to bodily autonomy. Come and join other Treehouse members as we explore this important topic with an expert.
Rebecca Donley is a national recognized speaker, trainer and advocate based in Minneapolis. She has served as a crisis hotline responder, a program trainer, advocate coordinator and national educator and policy director who provided testimony to government agencies. She will be bringing a vast amount of resources to this session for chaplain reference.
